Three artists from a common heritage, three lifetimes of experience creating together to tell the stories of two of our beloved elders. Tom (digital artist and filmaker) brings his fascination with both art and music to a new collaborative film venture, using his digital artistry to tell the stories of two well-known Canadian Estonian Artists, Arne Roosman, 87 (visual artist) and Armas Maiste, who just celebrated his 90th birthday (Jazz and classical pianist): from growing up during the period of Estonian Independence, living through WWII, to their flight to freedom with their families and building new lives in Canada.
This new work will involve creating elements for animated shorts in a unique three-way collaboration of these three well-respected artists. The project will include not only the films, but an exhibit of artwork created by Arne Roosman as elements for the animations.
