I have been collecting stories from the generations who were born in free Estonia. The stories of our elders are our living history, which is a precious resource that cannot be replaced. Patterns of Freedom tells the story of the women who fled in 1944, and the threads that were woven into traditional arts, crafts and folk clothing to keep their culture alive in exile.
